My eight year old loves baseball so I have been watching the world series after the Red Sox quickly dispatched the Angels. The Colorado Rockies really just got killed 4-0 by the Red Sox. What was all the hype?. Their hitting was not good and their pitching was so-so. They were no match for the Sox. Why they were in the series to begin with is beyond me.

Giorgio Armani apparently just gave himself a serious payday. His face is at "condition critical" with sun exposure assuming this image is not doctored. I would recommend a bunch of stuff to reduce his skin cancer risk which appears to be absolute at this time. If he hasn't had skin cancer yet, it appears imminent.

Sneaky Plastic Surgery on the WWW

It is a complicated world we live in online in plastic surgery. A decade ago I was more trusting of what I read online regarding plastic surgery. As some of you may know, I have been a contributor to forum boards for about that long. They used to be free of hype and BS. Many of them now are for-profit enterprises that will pitch their sponsor surgeons to you like a television ad.

Recently a kind person posted nice words about me on an online forum. She was deleted as were her posts. She was given no warning or notice as to why this happened. The forum administrator explained that it has nothing to do with the fact that she was recommending a surgeon who had not paid for sponsorship. She explained that online at another board when I told the story as I knew it.

Nevertheless, it is prudent for those of you going online for information about plastic surgery to be careful as to the source. There is a difference between a simple ad and a sneaky paid recommendation.

Specifically if you go to an online forum at which a forum administrator recommends a plastic surgeon to you, your next question should be "Was she paid to do so?"

"The state has suspended the medical license of Dr. Curtis J. Perry, whose cosmetic surgery practice in East Greenwich was shut down last month because the facility was not licensed for surgery and employed “dangerous” practices."

Little emphasis is placed upon the fact that this "facial plastic surgeon" was doing tummy tuck surgery. What part of the face includes the tummy? Maybe that is one of the "dangerous" practices?

One of the biggest cases I have reviewed for the California Medical Board concerned a similar surgeon who performed a tummy tuck with disastrous results. The patient won over $300,000 in a settlement under arbitration in the malpractice suit that followed.

Buyer Beware - The Plastic Surgeon Is Not In At Artistic Surgery Center

"Perry is an ear, nose and throat doctor though his web site claims he's certified to perform facial and plastic surgery. The Department of Health says he's not a Board Certified plastic surgeon."

The funny thing this piece doesn't say is that the restriction was based on a technicality. The surgery center was not licensed. There is no law against a non-plastic surgeon performing plastic surgery. This doctor was trained in ENT - Ears, Nose and Throat. Dr Sullivan's comments in the video are good.

Lipodissolve proves popular despite lack of FDA nod

Lipodissolve is out there. Just understand it is kinda an experiment to use it. In a couple of years we might not be saying that though. This is similar to the way Botox started.

One other point in the article: a quoted doctor indicated liposuction was for "pounds." Liposuction is not good for weight loss as we have discussed before. It is a contouring procedure.
