What they'll do on the Net.....

To make you "click," they'll do anything.

I didn't click it.

Extreme Makeover Scripted? - Yep

Smoking Gun

If it wasn't scripted, why would they need a casting department selecting for horribly diseased cast members? This is entertainment not real plastic surgery folks.

CEO Pay Barone Blog

Barone Blog

Although this one doesn't directly mention healthcare, it is one of my pet peeves as well. The tendency for healthcare CEOS to take home millions while treatments are denied or underpaid is epidemic. I wrote about this in my local newspaper when I was writing for them regularly a few years back. I do not see much change.

Sheetal Sheth pressured to get Breast Augmentation

OhNoTheyDidn't

Sheetal Sheth reports that Hollywood is pressuring her into having breast augmentation. She looks lovely. If she doesn't want them, she should not get them. If she were to decide upon it later, she should definitely "go small."

Sharon Stone Facelift?

Someone asked about Sharon Stone. From the looks of the picture here, she has probably not had a full face lift at least not at this point. There is alot of skin in the cheek on each side that a face lift should have re-distributed better. She looks pretty good otherwise though.

Star Jones bleeds during breast lift

iVillage.com

Star Jones is reported to have had a severe bleeding episode during breast lift surgery recently. This is extremely uncommon (I have never seen a case such as the one described) and published details of the event are sparse.

We hope to see her recover and the episode to be detailed more fully soon.

Hollywood Lip Injections at Hollywood Rag

Hollywood Rag

The "Trout Pout" is once again the subject of debate. I like less filler but I am in the minority. Less doesn't last as long either.

P.S. My "less is more" blog on soft tissue fillers.

Beltplasty cosmetic surgery

Connecticut Television Story

This sounds like a Lower Body Lift to me. Everybody is always trying to "coin a term" in plastics land.

Body Dysmorphic Disorder in UK Models

The Independent Story

Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) affects the most unlikely people. It is not common in my practice, but these patients do seek cosmetic surgery many times when they have little to gain by doing so.

My practice doesn't seem to attract these people for which I am grateful.

A Not Long Enough Inside Look Into Thread Lift

CBS TV Story

These new contour thread lifts are being promoted as a face lift without a face lift. We really don't have long term information on how these patients do over time. This Charlottesville television station followed a patient who seems happy at six weeks.

I'd like to know how she looks at six years.

Mick Jagger and Plastic Surgery

People News Story

Mick Jagger's daughter speaks that he will never have plastic surgery. She doesn't like the way men look with facelift surgery.

When she gets married and they get old I wonder if she will change her tune. Time will tell.
